...Germany!

The artist collective Jae Pas was awarded with the Muslim Mulliqi Prize for contemporary art in Kosovo. During the opening of the exhibition "Surveillance and discipline in public space" on Thursday December the 18th, the minister for culture Valton Beqiri presented the reward, which is remunerated with 3000 Euro. The Muslim Mulliqi Prize is the most prominent award for contemporary art in Kosovo.
"It is a great honor to receive this award. We hope that we can win back the sympathy for Germany wich got lately blown by the german secret service." said Jae Pas during the press conference in Prishtina.
The national news-paper "Koha Ditore" and "Kosova Sot" wrote the next day "Cmimi shon ne Gjermani! - "The prize goes to Germany".
Muslim Mulliqi was one of the most important modern painters in Kosovo. He had a big effect on the Balkan art-scene and was founder of the art-academy of Prishtina. He died 10 years ago. The art-award named after him was presented by the ministry for culture for the sixth time.

The exhibition "Surveillance and discipline in public space" can be visited until January the 18th in the State Gallery of Prishtina, capital of Kosovo.
